My Birthday at Mandarin Oriental

Last night, after my parents successfully packed nearly 70 percent of our house, we decided to go for dinner at Mandarin Oriental. And since we haven’t celebrated my 15th birthday as a family, my parents said this would be a nice family dinner to celebrate my belated birthday. One and a half months late. :P Haha.

My sisters and I have not eaten at Mandarin Oriental for nearly 3 years already, I think. It’s a really, really nice place. Out of all the hotel buffets we’ve been to, I’d say that this one has the best service and a pretty satisfying spread. Haha. So yes, I’m glad for this one last opportunity to celebrate my birthday at Mandarin Oriental. :D

The yummy California rolls. Man, I just love popping the salmon eggs in my mouth. :P

Janna wolfing down the roll :)

My dad and I at the dessert section.

Yummyliciouss.

:D

My favorite seafood. CRAB! :P There were lobsters also. :D

Sweet blueberry and creamy pandan mousse.

We were specially served with a plate-ful of raspberries cause' my mum said the raspberry cheesecake needed more raspberries in it. :P

Coconut cheesecake. This is fattening like crazy I tell you.

Janna and I sitting at our own table enjoying the cherry and orange sherbet. We were just beside the dessert counter. :P

Jirene and I :)

Family picture :D

I love the wallpaper background. This was actually in the washroom. Haha.

Without the vignetting.

Haha, just experimenting with Photoscape. :P

Nice. With the grand chandelier in the background.
One last family picture are the dinner table! :)
One more note,

You know… I think we’ve been eating too much.

Guess what, tonight we have another dinner! Well actually, the next three nights we’ll be having nice dinners too. Hahaha. Crazy la. I think I’m tired of eating. When we go to Australia must diet already. HAHA. :P

Yeah righttt…

Four More Days!

Finally, with all the pictures and farewells aside, I can give you guys a decent update on what’s been really going on.

The past 3 weeks have been quite fun with all the farewells and outings. But that’s considered the “calm” before the storm. Beginning this week, after we came back from the RR Leaders’ retreat in Gopeng, I would say that the “storm” had officially begun. Hahaha yes, as clichéd as it sounds.

The past 3 days have been super hectic for my parents. They’ve been running up and down trying to finish up some last minute errands. My sisters and I did our fair share by helping my mum clean the stuff we’re shipping to Melbourne. All the stuff that goes into the big container must be spick-and-span. I nearly was throwing a tantrum while trying to clean the teak wood furniture with all the intricate carvings. All the dust was in between and I spent a few hours wiping all that crap! Argh.

Thankfully, my sisters and I are now at our Aunty May’s house. Haha, but I still wish I could’ve stayed with my parents to help out some more. Anyway, we’d be staying with my cousins for the next four days. My parents will only join us tomorrow night cause’ they’re still busy packing up the remaining furniture. Our house is in an unimaginable mess now. And yes, I do remember that we only have four more days to go.

Yikes.

I’ll admit that all this while we have been a little bit too cool. We shouldn’t have waited until our last week to finish up everything! But oh well, no matter how stressful, we have to finish the job. The date is set. Like my dad said, whether or not we can finish up and pack everything, we still have to go. So for this one week, it will be one mad, mad rush.

Till my next update, keep us in your prayers. ;)

One Last Hangout

A week ago, I met up with Joyce, Gabby, and Kelly in Pyramid. Sadly, I think that would be our last hangout already. Joyce said it didn’t really feel like a “farewell” for me. Haha. And yes, I somehow didn’t feel a least bit “emo” even though I knew it would be our last chance to hangout together. But of course, I’m sure it’s not literally the last time la. Next time when I’m back to visit, we’ll meet again. :P

Anyway, those three cheeky fellas gave me a surprise farewell song (and a mudpie) at TGIF. They asked me to meet there, and I waited at least ten minutes before they appeared and sang “We love you, Janielle, deep down in our hearts.” Hahaha! :D

Gabby and I

Yum.

Kelly and I :)

:)

Haha, Kelly always has the best expression. :P

Guess what we were up to.

Then we ate again. At Waffle World. Haha.

After Waffle World I met up with my family at a restaurant in Sunway Hotel for dinner with the Chew family. Excluding Joanne, who's in Tasmania. :P Haha, that's Aunty Susan with my sisters and my mum in the picture.

We're gonna' meet up with Aunty Susan and Jon in Melbourne. They just flew there last Sunday and they're gonna' be there for a month! Haha, so its a good thing that when we're there, we already have a list of people to meet up with. :) Hehe.
I can't wait!

Diane, Princess, and I

Hahaha, you probably puckered your brow when you read the title. :P

Last last Sunday, after church, my sisters and I followed Diane and her sisters for lunch. (Yes, all the pictures are kinda’ delayed. But I’ll catch up soon. :P) And yes… we had a blast of a time crashing Diane’s house that afternoon! :P Haha. And oh, Princess was with us, too. In case you were wondering who… it’s Charlene! :D

We spent the afternoon snapping loads of pictures in Denise’s cool, spunky room and at the garden. I was really glad that we could hang out for a bit that day since that was my last Sunday in PJ. And oh yes, thanks to our brilliant photographer, Denise, we managed to look so nice in the pictures. :P Hehe, here goes…

Charl, me, and Diane posing at Denise's super cool wall.

:)

This was Denise's brilliant idea! The natural lighting was awesome, so the picture with the funky background turned out perfect. :D

Candid. :) Haha.

Whoa my hand appears so enlarged. Haha.

Yesss, we were FULL of poses. :P

Haha, Diane looks so cute. :P

Sweet ;)

Debbie, Jirene, Joy, and Janna playing Pictionary.

Snapping some jumping shots at the garden! =)

Hahaa.

Whoop-de-doo!

:)

Haha, guess what were we up to.

So anyway, I saved the best for the last! :) I love this shot. You girls are tons of fun and laughter. Thanks for brightening my day! :P Harhar.
