Hey hey people! =D

Phew, today’s been a pretty long day. Youth Church was simply wonderful! Finally, I got to see dear Shanny after some time. =P

And finally, Joyce is gone from my house! Finally! Freedom! I think, she’ll think the same right now in her own house. Haha, she’s been staying over here since last Saturday. Her parents went for honeymoon, so, she stayed over la! Well, it’s not as if she’s been a pest or anything (you must be thinking…). It’s just, we simply got bored of each other. Haha, I ain’t kidding! So it’s best we keep to meeting each other on the weekends every week. =D Hehe.

Aha, I can’t wait to watch Shrek 3! I’ve got 4 free tickets from McDonald’s because my sisters entered some easy contest. Haha. Many people say it’s not that funny and it’s kinda’ lame. But there’s only one person that said its worth watching and really funny: KRISTEN!! I can’t believe it’s coming from her! XD But oh well, I trust her opinion. We’ll see how it goes then!

Here's the pictures we took with Lassie when we had nothing to do, a few days ago. =)

A portrait snap! Awesome, my dog has the nicest shots I guess.. Haha.

You noticed I like silhouette pictures huh? Yeah, I like it that way. So till then, have a good last Sunday of school hols! =) God bless!!

By the way, wanna' know why Lassie and Joyce's pics look so nice? It's because I took it. Wanna' know why the shots of me look not-so-nice? It's because Joyce took it. =P Nah, I don't mean anything. xD

…A continuation of the previous post

1 Peter 2:1-2 ~ “Therefore, laying aside all wickedness, all dishonesty, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, as newborn babies, desire the pure milk of the WORD, that you may grow thereby.”

We all need God’s Word to live on in our daily lives. It’s like spiritual food to our soul. In the verse above, we are all considered as newborn infants. We must all desire the pure milk of God’s Word. Just like a baby, we need to feed on milk in order to grow. God’s Word to us, Christians, can be compared to milk being fed to newborn babies.

But how many of us see the NEED to study the Bible? Of course, we’re always just too lazy sometimes. No, that can’t be the excuse! How can it be? Imagine if you skip 3 meals everyday, won’t you be starved to death in the end? Well, that’s the same with God’s Word!

But there is also a possibility that we don’t want to read the Bible because it’s too hard to understand. Everyone struggles with that, not only you. But God will help you if you’d just ASK. God is the one that gives us the understanding of His Word. You don’t think you can actually figure out everything ON YOUR OWN, do you? No, it’s not possible. The source of all wisdom and understanding comes from God! So what’s so hard to just ask the One who knows it all?

Notice that 1 Peter 2:1 says: “Therefore, laying aside all wickedness, all dishonesty, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking… desire the pure milk of the Word.”

If we do not clear our hearts and minds of all this “rubbish”, how are we gonna’ FULLY receive the “treasures” in God’s Word? It’s certainly VERY hard. But of course, here it comes again, God can help you! It’s all “in the process”. No one’s ever perfect. You can’t expect yourself to change 100% to some miss goody-goody two shoes! As long as your heart is right in God’s eyes, you’re fine. (Though many times it’s not right… that’s for me, too.)

So after reading all this, what’s your decision? It’s not for me to say, but for you to decide. It’s a YOU-and-GOD-thing.

Live it all for Christ!

I was empty, but now I'm filled!

I’ve not been studying God’s Word properly for the past two weeks. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s because I was unfocused, and got a bit lazy. Or maybe it’s because I’ve got other things to do. But for the past two weeks, I’ve been pushing God aside, right to the farthest corner of my mind. I tried to push away the guilt of not doing my devotion properly. I just felt sort of lazy to study the Bible and even, to pray. I felt kinda’ bad, but I thought, Nah, it should be alright not doing my devotion for awhile. I’ll be just fine.

But today, something changed.

God tugged at my heart, today. This time, I knew I couldn’t ignore God anymore. I really couldn’t believe this was actually happening to ME! I mean, haven’t I been memorizing scriptures all these 5 months? I thought I was OK, so missing a few days of devotion would be fine. I just didn’t feel the urge to do it.

But no, today, I HAD NO OTHER CHOICE.

Finally, after all that “tugging and pulling”, I cried out to God. “Lord, what’s wrong with me?! I just feel so dry and empty these days!” I yelled in my heart.

There was a pause… I cried to God again. And this time, something came.

“Man shall not live by bread alone, but on every word that proceeds from the mouth of GOD.”

I repeated it in my heart. This was a Scripture verse I had memorized some time ago. It was Matthew 4:4.

Now only did I realize my mistake. I have been dry and dead in my spirit because I haven’t been truly studying and meditating on God’s Word! Now I’ve learned a great lesson. This applies to YOU, too. Think about it.

Matthew 4:4 ~ Jesus said, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but on every WORD that proceeds from the mouth of GOD.”

Without God’s Word, you’re DEAD MEAT. Think about it, my friend. God is tugging at your heart right now. So, you’re gonna’ run away? I don’t think so…

To be continued…

I love Reader’s Digest; it’s the best magazine in the world! Seriously, it’s so good! Just a few days ago, I was reading this article entitled:

“Thrills That Kill”

What are the sorts of things that “thrill” people nowadays? The sort of things they do that make them accepted. I’ve heard about it, I bet you have, too.

This article featured two very worried adults who are the parents of a dead boy who was found with a cord coiled around his neck. The reason why they were so worried? They didn’t know HOW IN THE WORLD their son could have died. No, he couldn’t have committed suicide; he was a perfectly OK guy. No way.

You see, later on, they found out that he was PLAYING A GAME. But, what kind of game would require YOUR LIFE?!

The parents searched the Internet and found the answer to their worries. There were these extremely stupid websites that their son accessed very frequently. Websites on “thrills” or “games” - that if you’re dumb enough to play - would require YOUR LIFE.

There was this site that taught its visitors how to strangle themselves (without killing themselves). But why in the world would anyone wanna’ do that? The boy had what he wanted, he wasn’t abused, and he was perfectly fine! Well, there’s actually such a thing as: you can strangle yourself to GET HIGH (f you do it the right way, you won’t kill yourself while playing this “game”).

Another non related case led to a girl who cut herself all over to “release stress”. And later on, she said that her friends told her it was “cool” to do it. You might have heard of this before. You see, it’s getting so common now isn’t it?

But how can this be? Isn’t it PAINFUL to play such games? Well, I don’t know, but the thought of it makes me sick! Its pure evil. Everywhere you have people being abused by others, but hey, now there’s this cool new thingy that suggests you abuse yourself.

Times are evil; no where’s a safe place. You can’t really rely on anyone. That’s exactly the point! Who can we REALLY rely on then?

Proverbs 3:5 ~ Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.

Of course, we can rely on God! Human understanding is folly compared to God’s wisdom. Well, this sounds kind of “normal” doesn’t it? But I tell you, you’re not gonna’ go anywhere close to satisfaction in life. We’re not supposed to be satisfied with THIS life! God has MORE for us. If you’d rather go do your own thing, you won’t really get what you want. Only God can help. If we put our FULL trust in Him, we’re perfectly safe. Even if we get into trouble, we know that God’s grace is with us, and we are COVERED from all evil.

Proverbs 3:7 ~ Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and depart from evil.

Look to God, He is our Creator, and He knows what’s best for His creation. =) Fear God, and not man. Guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus!

Woohoo! I’m back, people! =D

I’ve not been blogging for only about two weeks, but it certainly seemed like an eternity long! Oh yeah right, like an eternity. Eternity’s much MUCH longer! But oh well, I like exaggerating that’s why. =) But that proves it, I can live without going online. Well… there really are a lot of people who can’t survive not using the computer you know. You might be one of them, I bet! =P

Ah, you must have noticed, I’ve changed my blog skin! It’s pretty simple now, but the extremely beautiful snapshot up there makes it all look good. Doesn’t it? =D

Oh man, I’ve got to fly off now. Argh, don’t worry, I’ll come back. xD
