Psalm 1

Blessed is the man, who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the paths of sinners;
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful

But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.

He shall be like a tree, planted by the rivers of water
That brings forth fruit in its season.
Whose leaf also shall not wither,
And whatever he does shall prosper.

The ungodly are not so,
But they are like chaff which the wind drives away.
Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,
Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

For the Lord knows the way of the righteous,
But the ungodly shall perish.

This is a beautiful picture. And aha! I took it! =D Its so peaceful and tranquil. Imagine if you really were there! =) Well, I just thought of posting this "art piece" (MY art piece... =p) to relate to the verse saying:

He shall be like a tree, planted by the rivers of water
That brings forth fruit in its season.

G'day to you, and have a pleasant week. =)

“Nothing lasts; everything fails. Only the promises of God will stand everlasting, never-failing.” – Janielle Beh

Hmm, I can really quote good quotes of my own, huh? =P Haha. Now here’s a quote from the Word of God – and you can count on this one for sure!

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” – Mark 13:31

Anyone can fail you. Even your best-est of friends can fail you. But that doesn’t mean you keep to yourself and stay away from people just because you know they’ll fail you one day. =P In every friendship or relationship we have, we can expect a little disappointment. That’s why, I learn not to put such high hopes on people. We’re not perfect. You shouldn’t put high hopes on me, too. =)

But do remember, you might not feel it now, but there will come a time when you’ll remember this post you’ve read and think, “Oh yes, all my friends have failed me, but now I know I can turn to God.” Nothing lasts in this rotting world; everything will fail one day. But like I said, you can count on the promises of God to keep you going! What a relieve!

Someone said LOL also stands for LACK OF LOVE. I think it was Edwin. =P Hahaha. Well that’s quite a good one, I’d say. =P So do you have a lack of love? Many of us are very privileged kids. We have parents who want the best for us, and care for us. But there are also plenty out there who haven’t got such a good chance and blessing like us.

“But from everlasting to everlasting, the Lord’s love is with those who fear Him.” – Psalm 103:17

What a wonderful promise of God! Will you respond to this promise? Oh c’mon, don’t sit here stagnantly and stare at this like a blur case! =D God loves you and me. We can count on God in our deepest trouble. It doesn’t matter whether your problem is big or small; God is right here waiting for you to give Him a ring! =)

I found yet another quote book my dad bought! =D

So are you facing the wrong direction now???

Have a good weekend! Jesus bless! =)

For the first time ever, I'm actually currently having a Writer's Block!! (Or do you guys call it a Blogger's Block?) Argh. So I thought I'll just post some pictures I took some time ago. This time its not just the Sun. It's also the Moon... =)

Psalm 121:6 ~ "The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night."

This is not a sunrise by the way. (I think it looks like sunrise more than sunset. Haha.)

You must be wondering how I took this. It looks as if it'll roast me nice and good before I can take it's picture! =P

This is seriously fiery, blazing, sizzling, RED, HOT!!!

This is the shot I like best. The wispy clouds makes it look "hotter". =P

This was taken on another day. =) Hehe. You know why the bottom part of this picture is so much darker than the top half? Cause those are rain clouds. The sun managed to squirm its way through and shine for awhile. Minutes later, the rain started pouring like cats and dogs.

Dusk...

I love this picture. =) The clouds looked perfect. Haha.
The moon opposite the clouds. Nice one.

You see that tiny black dot? That's a bird. Ok, I think you can barely see it anyway... xD

The moon while the sky is still bright.

Now this looks much better. =)

Crescent moon. I know, it looks kinda "grainy". Not bright enough. =)

I took this moon picture a few weeks back. That's when the moon was FULL.

Guess what planet is this? Haha, nolah, I just managed to get a shot of a star. Though I really don't know what star it is. It seemed to be the only visible star around... Sad. =( Haha.
So that's all for today. Pray the Writer's Block Syndrome goes away by tomorrow. Hehe. =P

The Truth about His name

I just read this email from Sherrene Teh. It’s a good one. You should read this, too. =)

Death is certain but the Bible speaks about untimely death!

It is written in the Bible (Galatians 6:7):
"Be not deceived; God is not mocked.
For whatsoever a man soweth,
That shall he also reap."

Here are some men and women who mocked God:

John Lennon (Singer):

Some years before, during his interview with an American Magazine, he said:

"Christianity will end, it will disappear. I do not have to argue about that. I am certain. Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple, today we are more famous than Him" (1966).

Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, was shot six times.

Tancredo Neves (President of Brazil):

During the Presidential campaign, he said if he got 500,000 votes from his party, not even God would remove him from Presidency.

Sure he got the votes, but he got sick a day before being made President, then he died.

Cazuza (Bi-sexual Brazilian composer, singer and poet):

During A show in Canecio (Rio de Janeiro), while smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some smoke into the air and said: "God, that's for you."

He died at the age of 32 of AIDS in a horrible manner.

The man who built the Titanic:

After the construction of Titanic, a reporter asked him how safe the Titanic would be.

With an ironic tone he said: "Not even God can sink it"

The result: I think you all know what happened to the Titanic .

Marilyn Monroe (Actress)

She was visited by Billy Graham during a presentation of a show. He said the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her.

After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said: "I don't need your Jesus".

A week later, she was found dead in her apartment.

Bon Scott (Singer), the ex-vocalist of the AC/DC. On one of his 1979 songs he sang:

"Don't stop me; I'm going down all the way, down the highway to hell".

On 19 February 1980, Bon Scott was found dead, he had been choked by his own vomit.

In Campinas, Brazil (year 2005) a group of friends, drunk, went to pick up a friend. The mother accompanied her to the car and was so worried about the drunkenness of her friends and she said to the daughter holding her hand, who was already seated in the car:

"My Daughter, go with God and may He protect you."

She responded: "Only if He (God) travels in the trunk, cause inside here... it's already full."

Hours later, news came by that they had been involved in a fatal accident, everyone had died, and the car could not be recognized what type of car it had been, but surprisingly, the trunk was intact. The police said there was no way the trunk could have remained intact. To their surprise, inside the trunk was a crate of eggs, none were broken.

Christine Hewitt (Jamaican Journalist and entertainer):

Said the Bible (Word of God) was the worst book ever written.

In June 2006 she was found burnt beyond recognition in her motor vehicle.

Many more important people have forgotten that there is no other name that was given so much authority as the name of Jesus. Many have died, but only Jesus died and rose again, and he is still alive.

Personally, I myself know of someone who cursed the name of God and reaped terrible results. You don’t want that to happen. Be careful with what you say and do. God is watching you. =)

Finally! I got to watch TRANSFORMERS!!! =D

Why “finally”?

Cause’ Sam says he has watched it for the third time, and now only I’m getting to watch it!

I managed to catch the movie with my sisters (though I’d rather not. Jirene kept wanting to go to the toilet and the worse part was we were sitting in the middle of the row! Grr…). My parents went to watch Die Hard 4.0 instead.

Anyway, to all you who have seen Transformers and kept telling me it’s such a fantastic movie, I quite agree with you. Cause in the first place, I wasn’t interested to watch it at all! It seemed to have popped out of nowhere and I was not interested partly because I thought it’ll be some dumb robot show. But now, after watching it, it truly caught me by surprise!

The robots were really the REAL type of robots. Haha. The animations in the robots were awesome. And for some reason, I like a particular scene in the beginning of the movie that featured a bad robot - the one that looked like a scorpion. Yeah, I liked that part. =)

Well, I had no regrets watching Transformers. Wish I could watch it again. I was kinda’ confused during the robots-in-battle part. I didn’t know who the bad guy was! xD And once again, I remember a very good maxim in the movie – I shall quote it now. =D

I remember Sam Witwicky saying: “No sacrifice, no victory.”

It’s so simply and short, yet extremely profound (if you will allow me to use such a word) and significant.

In Christian terms, I bet it’s easy for you to understand, too. If Jesus Christ did not sacrifice His life and His precious blood for us, we would be waiting for our ultimate doom now. But in this case, God did send His only Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins. And therefore, instead of reaping our ultimate day of doom, we now await the day when Christ will come back victorious, to save all who believe in His name, from this horrid world.

Don’t miss Transformers if you haven’t watched it!

"Noooooooo!!!! Jerusha, don't go so fast!"

Guess what?! I just found out today that Jerusha (the girl in red) is leaving for CANADA next Thursday!! Yeah, and you'll probably be thinking, So what's the big deal? She's on holiday right?

Unfortunately, no, she's not. She'll be going for, like, FOREVER!!! I can't imagine. Boohoo ='( I thought Jerusha would be going only in September... Argh, I still can't accept it. So today is the LAST DAY I'll see her till she comes back again (3 years from now). No wonder, I had a feeling I should bring my camera to church today, but I didn't anyway. Thank goodness, Renee brought hers. So I'll get the shots from her ASAP. =)

~ I'll miss you, Jerusha! Oh well, although I only got to know you for such a short amount of time. Glad to have your company in UTH Church. By the time you're back, I'll be 17. Whoa... Haha. =P Take care and God bless you loads! ~

"As for man, his days are like grass, he flourishes like the flower of the field. But when the wind blows over it, it is gone, and its place remembers it no more..." - A verse in Psalm 103

Now, for the "beauty of nature." =) Enjoy!

The underside of a huge fern leave. There's a glow in this picture because of the sun. I feel the energy in this shot. =) (Ok, maybe only I can feel it. Haha.)

Aloe Vera plant.

This is the best closest shot I could ever get at that time. You have no idea how small the ants look! =)

This is another favorite shot.

The Fallen Flower... =D

Now, I've saved the best for the last! I LOVE THIS SHOT!!! =) God bless you always... I'll be collecting more of these shots. Simply beautiful! ;)
